Safety Harbor Garden Club
2026 Census - Join the Fun! Updates
The Safety Harbor Garden Club is proud to be part of the multistate, two-day “Great Southeast Pollinator Census.”
Join us to count butterflies, bees, and other pollinators and insects with a group of Garden Club members. Just show up! Come between 10:30 am and 1 pm to participate. Bring your friends.
We will provide you with brief instructions, and then you count the pollinators landing on your defined bush, plant, vine, or planted pot. Watch “how to count" video.
The Great Southeast Pollinator Course website has more details. Registration is required and has opened.
Positive News from National Pollinator Pathway Director
Prepare to be inspired! Learn from experienced Pollinator Pathway leaders about how they have established pollinator gardens in their communities. They will share lessons learned as well as tips for those starting out.
How far can a pollinator fly to find food?
It is important to have connecting habitat for the bees that only fly short distances to forage. Flowers have limited supplies of nectar, if many pollinators are foraging on a limited number of flowers, it will run out.
If your neighbor is a gardener, they might welcome seeds or plants from your garden when they learn how helpful they are to butterflies and bees.

This is a draft digital design for Square #1. The team is revising the design based on what plants are now available.
